# Retro Hideout > Private browser-game catalogue and setup guides. Authentication is required; public crawling and indexing remain disabled. This index does not grant permission to access or reuse game files. Content reviewed: 2026-10-07. Review of retained evidence, not a fresh test of every game. ## Project - [About and editorial approach](https://retrohideout.com/about/): Project identity and corrections. - [Testing methodology](https://retrohideout.com/testing/): Recorded browser coverage and remaining limits. - [Rights and attribution](https://retrohideout.com/rights/): Private draft; external intake not configured. ## Games - [Feudalism II](https://retrohideout.com/games/feudalism-ii/): Feudalism II runs its original campaign engine through Ruffle, with two persistent player heroes, shared world progress, private rooms and portable campaign saves. - [Sammy the Suricate](https://retrohideout.com/games/sammy-the-suricate/): Sammy Classic runs eight recreated trails in a WebGL browser without importing game files. It uses recovered artwork and sound; it is not the original Windows campaign. Multiplayer is a separate co-op edition. - [Bud Redhead: The Time Chase](https://retrohideout.com/games/bud-redhead/): This Bud Redhead browser recreation includes three forest courses with keyboard and touch controls. No file import is needed. Egypt, castle and spaceship worlds from the original game are not included. - [Lost Idols: Puzzle Crusade](https://retrohideout.com/games/lost-idols-puzzle-crusade/): The browser edition includes 100 recovered original campaign maps and two bonus puzzles. It needs WebGL but no game-file import. The maps are original; movement and rendering use a browser implementation. - [Dig McDug](https://retrohideout.com/games/dig-mcdug/): Dig McDug runs as a browser recreation with 30 recovered mine layouts, keyboard and touch controls, and locally saved mine unlocks. It is a different game from Dig Dug and needs no file import. - [Captain Claw](https://retrohideout.com/games/captain-claw/): The Captain Claw player runs your original Windows demo files in the browser. Import ClawDemo.exe, CLAWDEMO.REZ and MSS32.DLL first. The tested edition opens La Roca; the retail campaign is not verified. - [Bookworm Adventures](https://retrohideout.com/games/bookworm-adventures/): The Bookworm Adventures player runs your unchanged 2007 PopCap trial in a browser. Import its game folder and a Wine 6 runtime ZIP first. Trial limits remain in effect; this is not an instant-play full-game download. ## Guides - [Sammy controls, trail progress & co-op](https://retrohideout.com/guides/sammy-the-suricate-controls-and-co-op/): Learn Sammy Classic controls, trail selection, local progress and the separate Multiplayer mode, including shared pickups, revival and room invitations. - [Bud jumps, checkpoints & course progress](https://retrohideout.com/guides/bud-redhead-jumps-checkpoints-and-progress/): Learn variable-height jumps, ladder controls, coin targets and the difference between Bud Redhead checkpoints, Continue and locally unlocked courses. - [Lost Idols route planning & camera controls](https://retrohideout.com/guides/lost-idols-puzzle-crusade-beginners-guide/): Plan safer Lost Idols routes using camera inspection, zoom, fragile tiles, ice and switches. Learn campaign selection, difficulty and the level editor. - [Dig McDug mines, sacks & survival](https://retrohideout.com/guides/dig-mcdug-mines-sacks-and-controls/): Learn Dig McDug mine objectives, firing controls, falling gold sacks, cherry power and locally saved mine unlocks across the 30 recovered layouts. - [Captain Claw demo file-import setup](https://retrohideout.com/guides/captain-claw-browser-demo-setup/): Set up the Captain Claw browser player using ClawDemo.exe, CLAWDEMO.REZ and MSS32.DLL. Find import steps, touch controls and local-storage information. - [Bookworm Adventures runtime & game setup](https://retrohideout.com/guides/bookworm-adventures-browser-setup/): Import the Wine 6 runtime and original Bookworm Adventures files, then learn the tutorial, attack, dialogue, touch zoom and remembered sound controls. - [Browser recreations vs original game players](https://retrohideout.com/guides/browser-recreations-vs-original-players/): Compare the arcade’s browser recreations and original-game players: setup, file imports, map fidelity, trial limits, saves and keyboard or touch support. ## Coverage limits The games are recreations or original-file demo/trial players. Do not describe them collectively as full retail games, exact native ports, public-domain games, or downloads supplied by this project. Firefox and Linux Playwright WebKit have scoped hosted checks. Actual Safari and physical phones remain untested. Training access and search indexing are separate future decisions; this file does not enable either.
