Editorial responsibility

Guides are published under the Retro Hideout project name. This identifies the project maintaining these pages, rather than an invented individual author or legal company name. Original creators are credited separately on game pages.

Our aim is to describe the edition you can actually use: what runs, required files, controls, locally saved progress and remaining limits.

How we review a guide

  1. Check instructions against the implemented edition and retained validation records.
  2. Separate a recreation from an original executable, and map coverage from completed playthroughs.
  3. Link background sources and explain which claims they support.
  4. Include relevant retained screenshots and explicit limitations.
  5. Record an actual content-review date, rather than refreshing dates on every build.

Corrections and updates

Changed controls or compatibility claims need a new review of the guide and evidence together. A passing build alone does not verify gameplay.

This private draft does not have a monitored external corrections inbox. Rights and attribution information describes the current contact status.

Private development

The catalogue is behind the production password gate and excluded from public indexing. The readable llms.txt index summarizes these pages without granting access. Publishing, search crawling and training permissions are separate decisions.
